20h October – 9th November | 21 Days to Rediscover Your Why
Here's the deal:
For three weeks, you're going to train without the noise.
No calorie counts. No step goals. No heart rate zones screaming at you from your wrist.
The Challenge:
✅ Complete at least 3 classes per week (any type – BODYCYCLE, Reformer, Yoga, Power, you choose)
âś… Swap your smartwatch for one we provide (yes, really)
âś… Delete fitness apps from your phone for the duration
Why?
Because somewhere along the way, we started working out for the stats instead of how it makes us feel.
We became obsessed with closing rings, hitting numbers, and proving something to a screen. This challenge is about removing emotion from your workout – and that means removing the guilt, the pressure, the comparison.
You show up. You move. You leave feeling better than when you walked in.
That's it.
What you'll learn:
đź’Ş How to trust your body again
🧠How to workout without external validation
❤️ How to build a habit that's based on *feeling*, not fear
The Rules:
- At least 3 classes per week for 3 weeks
- No tracking devices
- No fitness apps
- Just you, the class, and how you feel after
Investment: FREE [but spots are limited]
This isn't about doing less. It's about doing it differently.
It's about remembering why you started in the first place.
Ready to unplug and reconnect? Sign up by October 17th & let's do this together.đź’–

Scientific Rationale: The Motivational Cost of Wearable Activity Trackers
Wearable activity trackers are designed to increase awareness and promote healthier behaviour through feedback, gamification, and goal-setting. However, research by Attig and Franke (2019) shows that this external feedback can also undermine intrinsic motivation — a phenomenon known as the dependency effect.
In their study of 210 regular tracker users, approximately 23–36% reported a noticeable loss of motivation to be physically active when their device was unavailable. Participants described activities as “less valuable” or less satisfying if not recorded by the tracker, indicating a cognitive and emotional dependency on external feedback.
The effect was strongest in users motivated by extrinsic reasons (e.g., reaching daily targets or comparing results) and weakest in those with high intrinsic motivation (e.g., exercising for enjoyment or wellbeing).
Furthermore, individuals with a high need for cognitive closure—those who prefer clear, measurable outcomes—were more likely to reduce activity when their tracker was absent.
Conversely, users with a strong hope of success and high intrinsic motivation for activity maintained stable exercise levels even without feedback, suggesting that self-driven, autonomous motivation acts as a protective factor against dependency.
According to Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan, 1985), over-reliance on external validation shifts the perceived locus of control from internal (“I want to exercise”) to external (“My tracker says I should”). This shift erodes autonomy and enjoyment, potentially reducing long-term adherence once feedback is removed.
The No-Stats Challenge is designed to counteract this dependency by encouraging participants to train without digital tracking. By removing numerical reinforcement, individuals are prompted to refocus on bodily awareness, intrinsic satisfaction, and internal cues of effort and reward.
This approach aims to strengthen self-determined motivation, enhance autonomy, and promote sustainable engagement in exercise that persists independently of technology.
